Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Contractor) to support a critical M&A integration initiative focused on the migration and onboarding of employees from acquired company into our Open HR platform across Mexico and Guatemala. This role will lead project execution, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensure the successful transition of employee data and HR processes into Open HR.The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with hands-on experience in payroll/HR systems, M&A integrations, data migration, and Open HR administration.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the HR systems integration project for acquired company's employees in Mexico and Guatemala.Manage the migration of employee data from legacy systems into Open HR.Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and country stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.Validate, cleanse, and oversee employee data uploads to ensure accuracy and completeness.Support the onboarding of approximately 480+ employees into Open HR.Establish and maintain relationships with payroll, HR, and technology vendors in Mexico.Manage multiple entity integrations, including newly acquired entities and expansion into Guatemala.Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.Ensure compliance with local HR and payroll requirements during system transitions.Document integration processes, workflows, and project deliverables.Serve as the primary project lead coordinating the integration effort; this role will not process payroll directly.
Required QualificationsProven experience as a Project Manager leading M&A, HRIS, payroll, or workforce system integrations.Strong knowledge of Open HR (required).Experience with employee data migration, HR systems implementation, and system conversions.Understanding of Mexico HR and payroll processes.Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and international stakeholders.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience managing complex projects across multiple legal entities and countries.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience integrating acquired companies into existing HR or payroll systems.Knowledge of Guatemala workforce or HR operations.Background in payroll systems, HRIS administration, or workforce technology.Experience supporting multinational organizations in Latin America.
