We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Manager to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact the wide web flexographic and gravure printing segments, focusing on water-based and solvent-based inks and coatings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the printing field, with a strong emphasis on technical support and customer relationship management, while being prepared for frequent travel (up to 70%) to customer sites, manufacturing plants, and regional meetings. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead technical support for wide web flexographic and gravure customers, ensuring optimal use of our water and solvent-based product lines. Oversee onsite troubleshooting, ink optimization, and product performance evaluations. Coordinate and lead press trials, product introductions, and technical audits at customer facilities. Collaborate with R&D, sales, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to deliver tailored technical solutions that meet customer needs. Develop technical service strategies that support customer retention, growth, and innovation. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a technical role supporting wide web flexographic and/or gravure printing. Proven experience with water and solvent-based inks and coatings used in flexible packaging. Demonstrated ability to lead customer-facing technical engagements and manage technical projects independently. Strong knowledge of pressroom processes, ink/substrate interactions, drying systems, and surface treatments. Skilled in color matching, print troubleshooting, and print defect analysis. Experience with color management systems (e.g., X-Rite) is preferred. An understanding of lamination, coating, and post-print processes is a plus.
