The International Logistics Area at DollarcityWe are a specialized team in creating efficient import processes. Our main goal is to ensure compliance with regulations for imported products and provide a clear overview of the flow from the supplier to our warehouses.
As Trade Compliance Administrator...You will support compliance with applicable customs laws and trade regulations across import and export operations, helping transform regulatory requirements into processes that are effectively embedded into the business.
You will play a key role in connecting regulation, operations, and technology by contributing to cross-functional initiatives, monitoring Trade Compliance performance, and ensuring accurate and consistent data across SAP and Quickbase.
A day as a Trade Compliance Administrator...You will support compliance with applicable customs laws and trade regulations across import and export transactions.You will contribute to integrating regulatory requirements into business processes, supporting initiatives from requirement definition through implementation into day-to-day operations.You will support the application of free trade agreements and preferential duty programs, identifying eligible duty optimization opportunities and alternatives to address non-tariff requirements.You will monitor key KPIs related to tariff classification, new SKU creation lead times, classification accuracy, and data quality, identifying deviations that require further action.You will provide specialized support during high-volume periods and for exceptional classification cases, determining when additional expertise or escalation is required.You will contribute to technology projects and implementations, supporting testing, process integration, and validation to enable more efficient and scalable Trade Compliance operations.You will collaborate cross-functionally to align regulatory requirements with operational priorities and business needs.You will ensure Trade Compliance data remains accurate, complete, and consistent across SAP and Quickbase.
What do you need to be sucessful?Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related field, providing a strong foundation to understand international trade processes and their impact on business operations.4+ years of experience in tariff classification, process analysis, and product-related activities, enabling you to interpret regulatory requirements and support accurate execution.Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade, allowing you to identify potential risks and help embed compliance requirements into business processes.Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel proficiency, essential for monitoring KPIs, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.Advanced English proficiency, important for working with international documentation and collaborating in a global environment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with a strong sense of urgency, enabling you to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and respond quickly in a dynamic operation.
