Trailer Mechanic

About the role

AZ Resources by Yvette Escarsega is seeking a trailer mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on semi-trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on semi-trailers.
• Conduct DOT/FHWA inspections.
• Work on lighting, electrical, axle, brake, and suspension systems.
• Complete structural repairs on aluminum, steel, body rails, panels, and roofing.
• Repair flooring made of aluminum, steel, or wood.
• Use liftgate knowledge, if available; welding and fabrication skills are preferred.

Requirements

• Experience in trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have your own tools or the ability to purchase them.
• Read and write English.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a drug screen, physical, and background check, and have a valid driving record.
• Reliable attendance.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tight spaces; lift up to 75 lbs (frequently 55 lbs); and use hand and power tools, compressed air, forklifts, ladders, and work at heights.
