Job description

MOVE Your Business is proud to represent Geraci LLP, a nationally recognized law firm dedicated to serving private lenders across the United States. Geraci LLP provides legal services at every stage of the lending process—from drafting customized loan documentation to ensuring compliance with complex regulatory requirements and mitigating risk. With deep industry expertise, the firm advises clients on entity formation, licensing, litigation, documentation, and evolving regulatory challenges. Geraci LLP’s client-first approach is strategic, consistent, and tailored to meet the unique needs of every private lender.

On behalf of Geraci LLP, we are seeking an experienced Transactional Real Estate Finance Lawyer with a minimum of five years of practice experience. The successful candidate will handle complex transactional matters, advise on financing structures, and support private lending initiatives. This is a hybrid role requiring both independent execution and collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Work

  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security instruments, purchase and sale agreements, and related contracts.
  • Structure and close real estate finance transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate assets, financing arrangements, and borrower entities.

Advisory & Compliance

  • Provide legal guidance on real estate financing structures and private lending matters.
  • Advise clients on regulatory requirements and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor legal developments in real estate finance and assess their impact on ongoing and future transactions.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, lenders, and external counsel to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear, business-oriented manner.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business objectives.

Ad Hoc Legal Support

  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Provide general legal support to the firm on matters outside of core transactional real estate work, as needed.
  • Support senior leadership with research, documentation, and other legal tasks on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited American law school.
  • Bar Admission (required): Must be admitted to practice law in California
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a focus on transactional real estate finance; private lending experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements with precision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining momentum and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with professional maturity and a growth-oriented mindset.
