Job description
Peace Global Logistics is hiring a reliable, experienced Truck Driver for a full-time, on-site position in Houston, Texas. The pay rate is $29 per hour. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, prioritizes safety, and provides courteous customer service.
Responsibilities
- Drive trucks safely and efficiently to deliver goods while following company policies and applicable regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, secure and handle shipments properly, and verify shipment accuracy.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety issues.
- Accurately record driving hours, mileage, cargo, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers, provide delivery updates, and help resolve issues.
- Plan and follow efficient routes while managing time effectively.
- Comply with traffic laws and applicable hours-of-service requirements.
Requirements
- Valid truck driving license and applicable endorsements, such as Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples.
- At least 2 years of truck driving experience and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDL training preferred.
