Job description
Trucking Safety Specialist position available in Schaumburg, Illinois. We are seeking a full-time professional with proven experience and a comprehensive understanding of CSA, DOT Regulations, and safety compliance to join our team from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Location Requirement
- Must reside within a 10-mile radius of Schaumburg, IL. Longer commutes are not feasible.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce safety and federal compliance regulations.
- Conduct driver recruitment including MVR, PSP, Clearinghouse, and employment verification.
- Perform audits and equipment inspections; maintain records such as Annual DOT and truck files.
- Collaborate with drivers to enhance driving skills and safety awareness.
- Implement and manage safety training programs.
- Coordinate with claims department and manage IFTA and vehicle registrations.
Job Requirements
- Verified experience in trucking safety roles.
- Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency with Apple systems.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Experience with ELD, HOS, and FMCSA regulations.
Main Duties
- Prepare driver reports and provide real-time driver assistance.
- Manage DATAQ, IRP, tickets, DOT inspections, maintenance records, and claims.
- Handle drug and alcohol-related inquiries.
- Assist with driver orientation and track driver performance.
- Provide support for all safety-related questions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Weekly salary starting at $1300 based on experience.
