Underground Utility Superintendent Job in Indianapolis, IN

Bluebix Solutions is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Superintendent to lead multiple pipe crews, manage equipment, subcontractors, and materials for underground utility projects throughout Indianapolis, IN. This leadership role requires collaboration with Foremen, Estimators, and Project Managers/Engineers to plan, schedule, instruct, and train teams to successfully complete projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a safe project site by enforcing all safety requirements and OSHA standards Plan project implementation by reviewing plans and specifications alongside estimators and project managers before mobilization Prepare and review project schedules timely with relevant staff Drive project teams to consistently exceed labor production estimates Keep owners, inspectors, and internal management informed on work progress Provide on-site supervision and direction to Foremen and crew members Coordinate with subcontractors and material vendors to ensure uninterrupted workflow Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in underground utilities and/or civil construction Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred but not required Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions Proficient in construction software such as HCSS, Excel, and Word Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills This full-time position is based in Indianapolis, IN, and is not eligible for remote work.
