Underground Utility Superintendent Jobs in Indianapolis, IN

Bluebix Solutions is hiring an experienced Underground Utility Superintendent in Indianapolis, Indiana. This full-time, on-site construction leadership role oversees multiple pipe crews, equipment, subcontractors, and materials across underground utility projects in the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct foremen and crew members throughout project execution.
• Plan work by reviewing project plans and specifications with estimators and project managers before mobilization.
• Develop project schedules, review them with relevant staff, and coordinate crews, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
• Promote safe job-site operations and enforce compliance with all safety requirements and company procedures.
• Guide project teams toward productive work and performance that exceeds estimated labor production goals.
• Keep owners, inspectors, and internal management informed about project progress.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and material vendors to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
• Help plan, instruct, and train teams to complete projects safely, profitably, productively, and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in underground utilities and/or civil construction.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety practices.
• Strong organizational, planning, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use construction software and tools such as HCSS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work extended hours and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred, but not required.
