Position Overview
We're looking for a talented Video Editor with exceptional creative judgment and a strong eye for quality to help us take our video production to the next level.
At Statiq, we're building AI-powered workflows that automate much of the video editing process.Rather than focusing on traditional, manual editing from start to finish, you'll play a key role in reviewing, refining, and improving the quality of videos produced through these workflows.
You'll be the creative expert behind the process, ensuring that every video meets high standards of storytelling, pacing, visual consistency, and overall production quality.
This role is ideal for an experienced editor who understands what makes a great video, has exceptional attention to detail, and is excited about combining creative expertise with new technologies.
What You'll Do
Review and evaluate videos produced through AI-powered editing workflows, ensuring consistently high creative and technical standards.Identify issues related to pacing, storytelling, transitions, sound, visual consistency, and overall production quality.Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve video outputs and editing workflows.Collaborate closely with our AI team to refine automated editing processes and continuously improve results.Establish and maintain quality standards for video content across different clients and projects.Make manual adjustments and refinements when needed to bring videos to the expected quality level.Ensure videos align with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and client expectations.Help identify opportunities to improve production efficiency without compromising creative quality.Stay up to date with video editing trends, creative best practices, and emerging technologies.
What We're Searching For
Proven professional experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent editing skills and creative judgment.Advanced understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, composition, transitions, sound design, and overall video production.A sharp eye for detail and the ability to quickly identify what works, what doesn't, and how to improve it.Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.Ability to provide structured, actionable creative feedback.Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.Comfortable working with technology-driven production workflows and adapting to new tools.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain consistent quality standards.Strong communication and collaboration skills
