Wastewater Level A Operator – Delaware, Ohio

Rukaiya Malik is hiring a Wastewater Level A Operator for an on-site, full-time position in Delaware, Ohio. The successful candidate will understand most aspects of wastewater treatment plant operations, maintain and repair treatment equipment, and be able to rebuild pumps and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance for the water treatment system, including oversight of required monitoring and sample-result reporting under federal, state, and local regulations.
• Follow safety requirements, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and prevent and report unsafe acts and conditions.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and applicable Process Safety Management requirements.
• Operate the water treatment system, maintain the maintenance schedule, and respond to repair needs.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation.
• Perform process-control laboratory work.
• Rebuild pumps and other treatment equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Level III wastewater (WW) operator license.
• At least four years of acceptable operating experience at a Class II or higher wastewater facility.
• At least two years in a position of Direct Responsible Charge (DRC).
• Associate's degree in science or engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent credit hours in another curriculum approved by the board.
