Job Overview
Venkat p is seeking a skilled Web Services Developer for a contract position in the Washington, DC area. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web services and APIs that support enterprise applications and integrate systems across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop RESTful and SOAP web services for communication between applications and systems.
- Integrate backend services with front-end applications built using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Design and optimize databases using SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Build scalable applications with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, WCF, and microservices architecture.
- Write and maintain code in C#, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails, following SDLC best practices.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code quality checks using tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, TFS, or SVN.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Design APIs using UML diagrams and create clear documentation for internal teams and third-party users.
Qualifications
- Experience developing web services and APIs for enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, databases, and backend development frameworks.
- Familiarity with testing, version control, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
