Job description

Weighbridge Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated and organised Weighbridge Coordinator to join our team at Harpers Feeds, a leading family-owned manufacturer of high quality animal feed supplying trade and farm customers across the South West.

The Role
You will play a key role in the smooth operation of our weighbridge facility, ensuring products are weighed, recorded, and processed accurately while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Working closely with the Transport, Production, and Raw Materials teams, you will help coordinate deliveries and collections and act as a main point of contact for drivers, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate the weighbridge, ensuring all incoming and outgoing vehicles and products are weighed, recorded, and processed accurately
• Take and record product samples, carry out quality checks, and ensure compliance with UFAS/TASCAC and company procedures
• Coordinate deliveries and collections, communicating with drivers, customers, and suppliers regarding orders and ETAs
• Enter orders, production information, and delivery documentation onto company systems
• Respond to customer and supplier enquiries and resolve delivery discrepancies promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate records, customer information, and site documentation to required standards
• Ensure intake and weighing areas are kept clean, safe, and compliant with the procedures
• Carry out feed and grain testing as required and support wider operational activities across the business

About You
• Background in agriculture and/or customer service experience (desirable)
• Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills with good attention to detail
• Confidence using IT systems and working accurately with data
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work to high standards and deadlines

What We Offer
• A varied and fast-paced role within a supportive team
• Training and development opportunities including specialist systems and industry training
• Health care scheme (including cashback on medical services and Employee Assistance Programme)
• Discretionary Compaction Cash
• Additional holiday after qualifying periods
• A supportive company culture that values staff wellbeing, encourages teamwork, and regularly organises company events and activities to help boost morale

Working Hours
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with alternating weekly shift pattern (with 30 minute unpaid break):
5.30am–1.30pm and 12.00pm–8.00pm
During busy periods, there is also a requirement to work Saturdays and Bank Holidays for the rota basis, paid at over-time rates.
