Key Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication tasks on metal components precisely according to blueprints and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality. Set up and operate welding machines such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welders safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines. Inspect finished products rigorously for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. Collaborate closely with the owner and shop foreman to troubleshoot design issues and optimize manufacturing processes for improved efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering strictly to workplace safety protocols and OSHA regulations to promote a safe working environment. Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and enhancing fabrication processes. Assist in training and mentoring junior welders and fabricators, fostering skill development and team cohesion. What We're Looking For Required: High School Diploma or equivalent educational credential. Minimum of 2 years proven experience in welding and metal fabrication. Proficiency with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Competence in using tape measures and other measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating good communication skills. Preferred: Certification in welding or related technical fields.
