Welding Inspector CWI

Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)Location: Birmingham, AlabamaSalary: $30 - $40 per hour + Overtime (1.5x) + Benefits + Relocation Assistance
Shift: 4 x 10 Monday - Thursday 04:30PM to 2:30 AM Overtime on Friday, Saturday and Sundays (x1.5 Overtime rate)
Day to DayJoin a leading structural steel fabrication company with a strong backlog of bridge and infrastructure projects through 2029. You'll be responsible for performing visual and NDT inspections, conducting UT testing, reviewing drawings and specifications, completing inspection reports, and ensuring fabricated products meet quality standards.
RequirementsCurrent AWS CWI certification900+ documented UT hoursStructural steel fabrication experienceKnowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codesAbility to read engineering drawings and specifications
Preferred:Bridge fabrication experienceNDT, MT, or PT experienceBackground in heavy steel fabrication or AISC-certified facilities
