Job description
Requirements
- 12 months of farm experience and 12 months of sheep experience. All experience must be from a verifiable 3rd party source.
- Must be able to stand, walk in the field, or sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to repeatedly bend over
- Must be able to run and move when herding and handling animals to prevent escape.
- Must be able to safely and securely with help, gain and maintain safe control of any size livestock. This could include roping from an ATV, or proper and safe use of chutes, squeezes and tables.
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds and repeatedly lift and carry 50-pound feed sacks, lifting to a height of 5 feet.
- Must be able to speak Spanish to communicate safely with other employees while doing team tasks to avoid miscommunication and maintain safe working conditions for self, coworkers and livestock
Schedule
