Job description

The Workflow Annotator – Finance and Data Analysis role is a full-time remote position focused on designing, annotating, and refining data workflows for financial and analytical use cases. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial datasets and process descriptions, breaking them down into clear steps, and labeling inputs, outputs, and decision points to support RL training environments. The role involves collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to ensure that workflows are accurate, consistent, and aligned with real-world finance processes. The Workflow Annotator will analyze patterns in data, identify gaps or ambiguities, and propose improvements to workflow structures and annotation guidelines. Documentation, quality checks, and adherence to data standards are a core part of the work, along with maintaining effective communication across remote teams.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills and experience in data analytics to interpret financial processes and datasets.
Knowledge of statistics to understand distributions, trends, and performance metrics in financial and behavioral data.
Experience with data modeling to structure workflows, define entities, and map relationships within complex financial systems.
Clear and effective communication skills to document workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report findings.
Familiarity with finance or accounting concepts and common financial data sources is highly beneficial.
Comfort working with spreadsheets, BI tools, or basic query languages to explore and validate data.
Attention to detail, ability to follow and improve annotation guidelines, and commitment to data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in data labeling, process mapping, or workflow documentation is a plus.
