Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Account Executive who will be working as an inplant for one of our medical devices customer located in Cartago, Costa Rica. The Account Executive will be responsible for managing the client account, building relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. They should be comfortable with multitasking.
OverviewThe ideal candidate has proven experience working in international trade and customs. This person is dynamic, has outstanding customer service skills and is used to working under pressure.The candidate will be working as an inplant at our customer’s facility. This position will be on-site: three days at the customer’s facility located in Cartago and 1-2 days work from home.
Key responsibilities:Coordination of Free Trade Zone shipments.Translation of import commercial invoices, including incoterm, ETAS and all other required information by the customer). Prepare and transmit customs declarations for the customer: transits, exports, imports, local sales, etc.Invoice all services on SAP B1.Request third party payments of warehouse fees and all other related fees to clear the cargo from Customs. Prepare status reports for the shipments. (ETD, ETA, transit time etc.)Assist with customs officials visits and coordinate any requirement by Customs. Maintain fluid and clear communication with the customer and our suppliers to ensure up to date information. Prepare different types of reports.Measure and maintain good performance in KPIs and objectives.Ensure the responsibilities within the Quality Management System are met. Provide support to the Operations team during vacations and special projects.
Requirements:Bachelor in: International Commerce, Customs or similar.5 years minimum work experience in positions related to international trade.Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skillsExperience in logistics, freight forwarding, medical industry or related industryAbility to manage client accounts and prioritize tasks efficientlyProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM softwareAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesMicrosoft Office proficiency: intermediate-advanced.English proficiency intermediate-advanced (70%, mostly written English)Goal oriented and personally motivated person.Ability to work under pressure.High ethical values and ability to handle confidential information. Open to work after hours.
Desirable:Knowledge in SAP Business One or similar system.Experience handling cargo for medical devices customers. Driver’s license and car.
