Job Summary:
The Talent Search and Development Manager is a pivotal role focused on connecting luxury hospitality properties with top-tier talent while coaching and mentoring candidates towards their career aspirations. As the key liaison between prestigious hotels, restaurants, and Placement International, you will assess hiring needs, match ideal candidates, and conduct mock interviews to prepare applicants for successful placements. This role requires a deep understanding of hotel operations and international recruitment, along with leadership and networking expertise to manage a robust talent pool and ensure seamless coordination with global offices for recruitment events. Your expertise will guide both candidates and partner properties, fostering valuable, long-term connections across the luxury hospitality industry.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of work experience in 4-5 star hotels; managerial experience in luxury hotels & Recruitment industries is preferred.Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large volumes of talent pools and fulfill diverse hiring needs with a focus on mentorship and team guidance.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Spanish as a plus.Technical Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for efficient documentation and reporting.Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, partner properties, and internal teams.Time Management: Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and balance a high volume of recruitment needs.Sales and Service Orientation: A profile oriented towards sales and human resources, with a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering service excellence.Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring relevant expertise in luxury hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Relationship ManagementAccount Leadership: Build and maintain long-term, high-value relationships with key accounts and strategic partners within the US luxury market.Property Engagement: Conduct property calls to understand specific hiring needs and corporate cultures of 5-star hotels and Michelin-starred resorts.Business Development: Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the US hospitality sector.Onboarding & Support: Guide host companies on J1 visa regulations, cultural exchange requirements, and candidate welcome packages.Communications: Manage communication with partner host companies, conveying detailed requirements on cultural exchange programs, visa regulations for international hires, and welcome packages to ensure smooth onboarding.Candidate Assessment & DevelopmentPrecision Matching: Assess and match hospitality students with international offerings that align with their career aspirations and skill sets.J1 Program Design: Develop and create structured template training plans for J1 interns and trainees.Coaching & Preparation: Conduct mock interviews and provide ongoing guidance to ensure candidates are well-prepared for placement.Continuous Screening: Oversee CV screening and maintain active communication with the international talent pool.Event Management & OutreachRecruitment Events: Organize and manage international recruitment fairs and virtual events to connect brands with global talent.Educational Partnerships: Coordinate school visits and webinars to promote J1 opportunities and recruit high-caliber students.Global Coordination: Liaise with global Placement International offices to synchronize recruitment efforts and large-scale events.Team Leadership & PerformanceMentorship: Coach and mentor a multicultural team, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth.Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor KPIs.Evaluations: Conduct monthly 1:1 meetings and semester-based performance evaluations with team members.Data-Driven Decision MakingAnalytics: Use CRM data to identify bottlenecks in the recruitment process and implement immediate sales solutions.Reporting: Deliver clear, performance-based reports to leadership regarding the Indonesian market’s growth and ROI.
