📌 Role Summary:Title: Senior / Staff Accountant (US GAAP)Location: 100% Remote in ColombiaLanguage: B2+ English required; C1 preferred (spoken and written)Schedule: Full-time, aligned with US business hours
🛠️ What You’ll Do:Manage the full-cycle general ledger accounting process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Assist and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in strict compliance with US GAAP.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper coding of expenses and accurate revenue recognition.Assist with external and internal audits, providing schedules, documentation, and answering inquiries.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement financial best practices to streamline accounting operations.
✅ Must-Have Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally working directly with US-based companies or multinational corporations.Strong, demonstrable knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).English proficiency: B2 minimum; C1 strongly preferred (daily interaction with US stakeholders).Hands-on experience with top-tier ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, SAP, or Oracle).Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, index/match, and complex formulas).Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
🌟 Nice to Have:CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA certification (active or in progress).Previous experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or a fast-growing tech/SaaS environment.Experience with multi-currency consolidations and intercompany transactions.
