Accounting Client Manager
Location: Paseo Colón, San José, Costa Rica (Hybrid)
About the Role
H&CO is seeking an Accounting Client Manager to join our team in San José, Costa Rica. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a client-focused mindset who enjoys building long-term relationships while delivering high-quality accounting services.
As an Accounting Client Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the timely preparation of financial information, coordinating tax-related processes, and providing an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Request accounting and tax information from clients.Review, classify, and analyze the information received.Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.Discuss outstanding items and accounting matters directly with clients.Complete and review workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance.Notify clients when their tax returns are ready and provide information regarding H&CO service fees and any applicable IRS payments.Request signatures for Form 8879 and provide any additional filing instructions.Follow up with clients regarding invoice payments and required documentation.Manage the overall client relationship, serving as the primary point of contact.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive support across the firm's services.Build trusted relationships that promote client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting.3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a strong client management focus.Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Advanced English proficiency (required).Availability to work in a hybrid work environment.
