Position Summary:The Accounting Assistant provides support in the execution of the organization’s accounting, financial, and tax processes, contributing to the proper functioning of the Accounting Department through the timely recording, control, and safeguarding of financial information.The position also assists in preparing reliable, timely, and accurate accounting and financial reports that reasonably reflect the institution’s financial position and facilitate informed decision-making.Schedule:Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsabilities: Manage bank reconciliations and accounting transactions for local and international accounts.Process checks, bank transfers, payroll, petty cash, and vendor payments.Review and ensure compliance of invoices and supporting financial documentation.Maintain accurate accounting records, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.Prepare tax filings, financial reports, month/year-end closing support, and audit documentation.Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulations.Lead the transition to Tipalti, coordinating implementation, process migration, testing, and training.
