Job DescriptionHandle journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly close activities. Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal control frameworks. Support audit documentation and compliance processes. Collaborate with finance teams for reporting and analysis. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
QualificationsStrong experience in Controllership and Financial Accounting, preferably supporting operations in Costa Rica. Experience managing relationships with external service providers, auditors, and consultants, particularly in accounting and tax-related matters. Accounting activities and US GAAP reporting. Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership teams, external vendors, tax advisors, and auditors to ensure compliance and timely financial reporting. Experience coordinating accounting, tax, audit, customs, and compliance activities with external partners, including Deloitte Costa Rica, ensuring adherence to local regulations, Free Trade Zone requirements, and corporate reporting standards. CPA/CPI certification is mandatory. Knowledge of IFRS is required.
