Job Summary:
The Manager in the Business Services Department leads a team of professionals in delivering accurate and timely financial management services. This role oversees client engagements, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and drives process improvements to enhance team efficiency. The Manager also plays a strategic role in client relationship management and contributes to the firm’s growth by identifying new opportunities for service delivery.
Essential Duties:
Manage the workflow of the Business Services team, ensuring timely delivery of financial statements, reconciliations, and other services.Oversee complex client accounts, addressing advanced financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation needs.Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.Review and approve financial reports and deliverables prepared by associates and senior associates.Develop and implement internal controls for clients to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their professional growth and technical skills.Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Compliance, Consulting) to provide integrated financial solutions to clients.Lead process improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and accuracy of accounting services.Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry practices, ensuring the team’s services remain compliant and relevant.Assist in business development by identifying opportunities to expand services for existing clients or acquire new clients.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, including supervisory responsibilities.Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and budgets.Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oddo, and advanced Excel skills.Experience in client relationship management and business development is highly desirable.
