Accounting Advisor
Are you an accounting or bookkeeping professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving financial challenges, and helping businesses stay financially organized?We’re looking for an Accounting Advisor to join a fast-paced, detail-oriented team supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs with accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information.In this role, you’ll manage monthly bookkeeping activities, maintain financial records, support payroll and tax-related processes, and help ensure each business has accurate books ready for year-end reporting.
What you’ll be doing• Categorize and maintain financial transactions in Xero• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts• Prepare and review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements• Review payroll and tax-related information using Gusto• Complete monthly bookkeeping close activities for a high volume of accounts• Manage up to 100 accounts per month, ensuring accuracy and consistency• Collaborate with accounting teams and advisors to maintain high-quality financial records• Provide professional, clear, and helpful support to clients via email• Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate them appropriately
What we’re looking for• At least 6 months of accounting or bookkeeping experience• Experience supporting U.S.-based or multinational clients• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• CPA certification is a plus• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax principles, or SOX compliance is an advantage• Strong ability to manage high-volume workloads and competing priorities• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills• Strong written English and professional communication skills• A customer-focused mindset and the ability to communicate financial information clearly• High levels of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
