Accounting Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Medellín. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate intake, verification, processing, and resolution of invoices within our internal factoring platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.Review and resolve invoice discrepancies and documentation issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and operational records.Coordinate with customers, clients, and internal teams to obtain missing or corrected documentation.Support timely invoice processing and resolution of operational issues.Work within internal factoring platforms to ensure accurate information and documentation.Apply accounting knowledge to support daily operations and maintain clean financial records.Support activities related to the full accounting cycle.
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in invoice processing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), accounting support, or financial operations.Experience in financial services is preferred.Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.Strong Excel skills are mandatory, including:FiltersPivot tablesLookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and organizational skills.
