About the role
BMNS is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounting and finance operations within a global distribution and supply chain environment. The role focuses on accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
The position includes processing inventory and non-inventory vendor invoices, customer invoicing, payment follow-up, vendor and customer onboarding, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Process inventory and non-inventory vendor invoices related to procurement and supplier operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare customer orders for invoicing and ensure required shipping and supporting documentation is received.
- Process vendor and customer onboarding and master data changes according to established procedures and control requirements.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and collection of customer receivables according to established payment terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process journal entries for accounting transactions.
- Complete assigned month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Assist with financial analysis supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business decision-making.
