About the role

Bright Minds Panama provides tutoring and academic support to Chinese students living in Panama, helping them integrate into the Panamanian school system through instruction in English and Spanish. The part-time After School Teacher supports students after regular school hours, helping build confidence, academic excellence, and positive study habits.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English and Spanish.
• Provide guidance in core academic subjects and assist with homework, test preparation, and projects.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to individual needs.
• Communicate clearly with students and families.
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment that encourages motivation and confidence.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in education and teaching, with experience supporting school-age learners in academic subjects.
• Skills in lesson planning and training, including designing structured, age-appropriate learning activities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and interact effectively with students and families.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; ability to support multilingual learners. Experience with Chinese students is a plus.
• Relevant academic background in education, languages, or a related field; prior tutoring or classroom experience preferred.
• Ability to work in Panama City.
