Role Description The After School Tutor for 3rd grade is a part-time, on-site role based in Panama City. The tutor will provide individualized and small-group academic support in core subjects, including mathematics, reading, and basic science, aligned with the 3rd-grade curriculum. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with homework, preparing students for quizzes and exams, reinforcing language skills in English and Spanish as appropriate, and monitoring academic progress. The tutor will create engaging learning activities, maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, communicate with guardians about student performance, and collaborate with other staff to support each student’s learning goals.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Tutoring and Teaching skills, with experience supporting elementary school students.Candidates should possess solid Mathematics knowledge appropriate for 3rd-grade curriculum.Candidates should possess effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills to work with children, families, and colleagues.Proficiency in English; Spanish and/or Mandarin language skills are highly beneficial.Experience in after-school or classroom settings with 3rd-grade or similar age groups is preferred.Ability to create clear, engaging instructional materials and manage small groups of students responsibly.Minimum of a high school diploma; coursework or a degree in Education or related fields is an advantage.Commitment to a supportive, inclusive learning environment and sensitivity to multicultural backgrounds.
