This environment offers opportunities for growth, impact, and meaningful participation in innovative projects.Role Description This part-time Agentic AI Engineer role is a hybrid position based in the San José Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, you will design and implement agentic AI systems, integrating neural networks and NLP models into software solutions that can autonomously analyze data, make decisions, and interact with users or other systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, build prototypes, run experiments, and iterate on models and architectures. Daily activities include coding and testing AI components, performing pattern recognition and model evaluation, documenting technical designs, and participating in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You will also help ensure that AI features are robust, maintainable, and aligned with product and business goals.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software development principles.Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, including model training, evaluation, and optimization.Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, information extraction, or conversational agents.Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) and familiarity with relevant frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, collaborating with distributed and hybrid teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and code quality.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with cloud platforms, MLOps practices, or deploying AI models into production environments is a plus.
