About the role

Crossing Hurdles is hiring an ambulance dispatcher to receive and triage emergency requests and route dispatch instructions to responders.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage emergency requests via radio, phone, and chat, applying standardized protocols and checklists.
• Prioritize concurrent requests by urgency and nature to allocate resources in real time.
• Document inbound communications and dispatch decisions clearly and accurately.
• Route information and dispatch instructions to relevant responders according to established procedures.
• Manage multiple inbound and outbound communication streams without compromising attention to detail.
• Contribute domain expertise to help define data quality standards and protocol effectiveness for AI training purposes.

Requirements

• Expertise in ambulance or emergency dispatch operations, including incident triage and prioritization.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with clarity and professionalism.
• Experience handling radio, phone, and chat simultaneously.
• Proficiency in applying standardized decision-making protocols and checklists.
