Payroll AnalystThe Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while ensuring that payroll data is properly reviewed, analyzed, and reconciled. This role works closely with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues, maintain accurate employee records, and support payroll reporting and compliance activities.The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with confidential employee and payroll information. The Payroll Analyst should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate their root causes, and provide timely solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation, processing, and review of payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.Review payroll data, including salaries, hourly wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, benefits, and other compensation-related information.Analyze payroll reports and identify discrepancies, errors, or unusual transactions.Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll records are accurate and properly supported.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payment issues in a timely manner.Review and validate payroll adjustments and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and employee information.Support payroll tax, deduction, and compliance-related activities as required.Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.Prepare and maintain payroll reports for internal stakeholders and management.Work closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and other departments to investigate and resolve payroll-related issues.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, payments, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.Assist with the review and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts and transactions.Support payroll system updates, testing, and implementation of process improvements.Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, increase accuracy, and reduce manual work.Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee, compensation, and payroll information.Ensure payroll activities are performed in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.Participate in payroll audits and provide supporting documentation when required.Assist with special payroll projects and other responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsPrevious experience in Payroll, Payroll Analysis, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Experience working with payroll systems, HRIS, or other employee management platforms.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and payroll reports.Ability to analyze large amounts of data and identify discrepancies or trends.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams.
