About S.ArchS.Arch, PSC is a San Juan architecture firm, Est. 2012, with more than 14 years of work across Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We design in three areas: FEMA funded recovery projects such as schools and churches, luxury residential for clients relocating to the island, and healthcare. We are known for fast response and for carrying projects from first sketch through construction.
About the roleAs an Architect on our production team, you will produce construction documents on real projects from schematic design through permitting, working alongside our senior architects. Within a few months you will own document sets, coordinate with consultants, and help us deliver on time. This is where most of our work gets made, so strong production skills matter more than years of titles.
What you will doProduce construction documents, plans, sections, and details, in AutoCAD and or RevitDevelop designs from schematic through construction documents under a senior architecPrepare permit drawings and support OGPe and municipal permittingCoordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultantsIncorporate redlines and keep document sets accurate and currentSupport construction phase requests as needed
What we are looking forRequiredDegree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)Proficiency in AutoCAD and RevitAble to produce a coordinated set of construction documents with limited supervisionComfortable working in both Spanish and EnglishBased in or able to commute to the San Juan metro areaCAAPPR and NCARB Membership RequiredExperience 10+ years of architectural workKnowledgable of codes and regulations, sustainability and resiliency conceptsResponsible with a strong work ethic and integrityProfessional, approachable and team-playerDemonstrate strong commitment to qualityManages expectations through professional communication and project updatesPerform codes, regulations, and standards reviewsPreferredExperience with Puerto Rico permitting through OGPeFEMA or public project experienceHealthcare or high end residential experience3D visualization skills such as SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, and/or AIArchitect In Training (AIT) or licensed architect in Puerto Rico
Compensation$20 to $30 per hour depending on experience. In addition a monthly health stipend and a performance bonus at the end of the year. This is a contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role for the right person.
