Architectural Drafter

Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to create accurate technical drawings and plans based on sketches, specifications, and instructions provided by architects, engineers, and project managers. The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD software, has a strong understanding of construction and design standards, and can produce precise drawings for residential and commercial projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.Convert sketches, specifications, and design concepts into technical drawings.Revise and update drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers.Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.Coordinate with project teams to clarify design details and maintain drawing accuracy.Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.Assist with quantity takeoffs and material schedules when required.Support the design and construction teams throughout all phases of the project.
QualificationsAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD software is a plus.Strong understanding of construction methods, architectural drawings, and drafting standard.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skill.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with residential or commercial construction projects.Knowledge of building codes and permitting requirements.Familiarity with rendering software and BIM (Building Information Modeling.
