Architectural Drafter

About the role

O-Max Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to create accurate technical drawings and plans from sketches, specifications, and instructions provided by architects, engineers, and project managers. The role supports residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
• Convert sketches, specifications, and design concepts into technical drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to clarify design details and maintain drawing accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and material schedules when required.
• Support the design and construction teams throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, architectural drawings, and drafting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with residential or commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of building codes and permitting requirements.
• Familiarity with rendering software and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
