Role OverviewAs an Entry‑Level AI Software Developer at Decklar, you will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to build, test, and improve software solutions. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to apply their academic knowledge to real‑world projects.You’ll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)—from understanding user needs to writing clean, maintainable code and supporting deployment.
What You’ll DoParticipate in the design, development, and implementation of software applicationsWrite clean, well‑structured, and well‑documented code under guidance from senior team membersCollaborate with teammates to understand requirements, workflows, and system functionalityAssist in analyzing problems, debugging issues, and proposing thoughtful solutionsFollow modern software development practices, including version control and code reviewsCreate and maintain basic technical documentation, diagrams, and code commentsTest software components and support deployment activitiesLearn and apply best practices related to security, performance, and scalabilityContinuously develop your technical skills through mentoring, feedback, and hands‑on experience
What We’re Looking For
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or final‑year student) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldStrong understanding of programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented concepts)Academic or personal experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar)Familiarity with basic software development concepts and the SDLCWillingness to learn new tools, technologies, and frameworksGood problem‑solving and analytical thinking skillsAbility to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to Have (Not Required)Exposure to web development, APIs, or databases through coursework or projectsFamiliarity with Git or another version control systemInternship, capstone project, hackathon participation, or personal coding projectsBasic understanding of software architecture or design patterns
