Role Description This part-time, Asistente de Comunicación – Proyecto CEPF en Ecuador role at Pan American Trails is based in Ecuador. The position supports the communication needs of the CEPF project, including drafting and editing press releases, project updates, and informational materials aligned with organizational guidelines. The role involves coordinating internal communication with project teams, collecting and organizing information from field activities, and maintaining consistent messaging across channels. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and execution of strategic communication initiatives, supporting media outreach, and helping prepare content for events, reports, and digital platforms. The assistant will collaborate with project staff and partners, manage basic documentation, and ensure timely delivery of communication products.Qualifications Ability to prepare and support the distribution of press releases and other media-oriented materials.Strong communication and writing skills to produce clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate content.Experience or training in strategic communications to support project visibility and stakeholder engagement.Capacity to manage internal communications, including coordination with team members and partners.Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a project-based environment.Proficiency in Spanish with good reading and writing skills in English preferred.Comfort working on-site in Quito, collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.Interest in environmental conservation, sustainable development, or related topics is an asset.
