Automation Engineer

Our client is looking for an outstanding Test Automation Engineer to join the Product Test Automation Organization. Our Test Automation Engineers help drive the delivery of high-quality features and functionality across Financials, HCM, Payroll, Spend Management, Higher Education and Talent applications.
Responsibilities and objectives of the role include:Collaborate with peers across Development, Quality Assurance and Product Management in the planning, design, and execution of automation test plans, while promoting efficient processes and proceduresBe responsible for the creation and maintenance of automated testware for Workday updates using our best of breed proprietary Automation toolsDiagnose test failures to report bugs and improvements to DevelopmentDrive efforts to improve all aspects of test inventory and coverageParticipate to ensure build pipelines are operating efficientlyTake ownership of success metrics in the team (code coverage, build pipeline timings and health, test performance, etc.) and actively work to continuously improve metrics coverage, value, reliability and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications:2+ years of proven experience in Automation testing of SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise applications.2+ years experience embedding test automation in CI/CD pipelines. Must also have experience in functional and non-functional testingBachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience
Other Qualifications:Development experience with Java, Python, or any Object Oriented Programming LanguageExperience with one or more of the following scripting frameworks is preferred: JUnit, Bamboo, TeamCity, Selenium, CypressExperience with Behavior-driven development (BDD) approach to testing software using frameworks like CucumberAble to deep dive into technical areas and also up level communications to a broader audienceExperience with one or more of the following tools and frameworks is preferred: JUnit or BambooProficient with Atlassian tools like JIRA & ConfluenceMust be a collaborative teammate with good verbal and written communication skills
