The hotel welcomes guests from around the world, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere focused on comfort, sustainability, and meaningful experiences.Role Description The Bartender is a full-time, on-site role based in Santa Cruz, responsible for crafting and serving a variety of cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages that reflect Cala Luna’s signature style and standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing the bar before service, mixing drinks accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. The Bartender will welcome guests, provide personalized recommendations, engage in warm and attentive conversation, and help create a relaxed, upscale atmosphere at the bar, pool, and beach areas. Additional responsibilities include managing inventory, restocking supplies, handling cash and payment transactions, and collaborating with the restaurant and kitchen teams to support food and beverage service. This role is guest-facing and requires a strong focus on hospitality, professionalism, and respect for the hotel’s eco-conscious values.Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and inclusive manner.Solid Bartending and Food & Beverage knowledge, including cocktail preparation, drink pairing, and basic bar operations.Accurate Cash Handling skills, including processing payments, managing tabs, and reconciling daily transactions.Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment, preferably in boutique or luxury hospitality settings.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to stand for extended periods.Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations.English and Spanish languages proficiency is a must to communicate with diverse guests and team members.Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and a positive attitude aligned with eco-conscious and guest-centered values.
