Bilingual CPA – Senior Bookkeeping & Financial Operator

About the role

Higher Options is looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) CPA to manage bookkeeping and financial operations for a U.S.-based real estate group operating across brokerage, investment, and development entities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities, including brokerage, investment companies, and project-specific LLCs.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant accounting, job cost tracking, project-level financials, and consolidated reporting.
• Manage monthly and year-end closing, journal entries, and bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Track intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination during consolidation.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, perform variance analysis, and support executive decision-making.
• Issue 1099s, ensure W-9 compliance, and prepare financial records for tax filings with an external CPA.
• Keep financial records audit-ready and build and update rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with capital allocation decisions and quarterly strategic reviews.
• Oversee the CEO’s personal financial tracking and reporting, including investment monitoring.

Requirements

• Licensed CPA with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, full-charge bookkeeping and reconciliations, multi-entity accounting and intercompany eliminations, job costing, project-based accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; experience with financial dashboards and project management tools is a plus.
• Comfort handling business and personal financial data with discretion and reliability.
• Highly detail-oriented.
