Descripción del empleo

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst (Contingent) to support Technical Advisory (TA) in the exploration, selection, definition, and implementation of its next Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform.
This role will serve as the dedicated business analysis lead for the PSA transformation, working across Technical Advisory to understand how the organization operates today, identify future-state business needs, and define the capabilities required from a modern PSA platform. The role will partner closely with TA subject matter experts, Business Excellence, the PSA Program Manager, GET, and ultimately the selected PSA provider.
The successful candidate will bring strong business process analysis, requirements discovery, facilitation, and transformation experience, with the ability to work across complex stakeholder groups and translate business needs into clear, structured capabilities and requirements.
This is not simply a requirements documentation role. The Business Process Analyst will be expected to understand the business deeply, challenge legacy processes where appropriate, identify opportunities for simplification and standardization, and ensure that the future PSA platform supports both current operational needs and Technical Advisory's evolving consulting model.
The initial engagement is expected to be approximately six months, with the potential to continue through solution definition, design, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Discovery and Process Analysis
Lead structured discovery across Technical Advisory to understand current-state PSA-related processes, workflows, roles, pain points, data needs, controls, dependencies, and system limitations.Engage with the different TA personas that create, maintain, manage, govern, or consume PSA information, ensuring requirements reflect the needs of the broader organization rather than a single function or stakeholder group.Develop a strong understanding of Technical Advisory's current operating model and evolving New Consulting Model (NCM) to ensure future PSA capabilities support the intended future state.Document current-state and future-state business processes, capabilities, business rules, dependencies, and pain points.Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or redesign business processes rather than automatically replicating legacy Upland processes in a new platform.Distinguish between stated stakeholder requests and the underlying business need, helping stakeholders arrive at clear and sustainable requirements.
PSA Capability Definition
Define and document the business capabilities Technical Advisory requires from a future PSA platform.Translate stakeholder needs into structured, traceable business requirements and capability statements.Ensure requirements consider the full PSA lifecycle, including areas such as project setup, resource management, project management, time entry, financial processes, data governance, reporting, integrations, controls, and operational workflows.Identify cross-functional dependencies and requirements involving teams such as Finance, Revenue Accounting, Resource Management, Leadership, Business Excellence, and GET.Establish clear prioritization and traceability between business needs, capabilities, requirements, and future solution decisions.
RFP and Vendor Evaluation
Support development of the PSA Request for Proposal by translating TA business needs into clear capability requirements and evaluation criteria.Partner with the PSA Program Manager and TA SMEs to support vendor demonstrations, discovery sessions, and solution evaluations.Help evaluate how effectively prospective PSA platforms support TA's required business capabilities and future operating model.Identify functional gaps, constraints, trade-offs, and areas requiring further discovery during vendor evaluation.Help ensure vendor selection decisions are grounded in documented business requirements rather than feature demonstrations alone.
Solution Definition and Detailed Requirements
Following vendor selection, partner closely with the selected PSA provider and TA subject matter experts to define detailed future-state requirements.Facilitate workshops to define workflows, business rules, user roles, data requirements, reporting requirements, controls, integrations, and operational processes.Translate high-level business capabilities into detailed functional and process requirements appropriate for solution design.Maintain requirements traceability from original business need through solution design and implementation.Identify and manage gaps between TA requirements and standard platform functionality, helping stakeholders evaluate configuration, process change, integration, or customization options.

GET Partnership and Technical Translation
Maintain close consultation with GET throughout the PSA selection and definition process to ensure enterprise technology considerations are incorporated early.Translate the resulting PSA business and solution requirements into clear inputs for GET evaluation, architecture, integration, security, data, governance, and implementation planning.Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, GET, and the PSA provider, ensuring shared understanding of requirements, dependencies, constraints, and decisions.Support resolution of issues where business requirements, platform capabilities, and Autodesk technology standards intersect.
Design and Implementation Support
Ideally continue with the initiative through detailed solution design and implementation, providing continuity between original business needs and the configured solution.Support future-state process design, solution validation, configuration decisions, testing, and business readiness activities.Validate that implemented capabilities align with documented requirements and intended business outcomes.Support user acceptance testing by helping define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and expected business outcomes.Identify requirement gaps or design decisions that could create downstream operational, reporting, governance, or data-quality issues.Support transition from project implementation into sustainable business operations.
Key Stakeholders
The Business Process Analyst will work across the breadth of the Technical Advisory operating model, engaging with the different personas and functions that create, manage, govern, or consume PSA processes and data. This includes stakeholders across project and program management, resource management, delivery consultants, consultant managers, project accounting and finance, project and operational support, governance and insights, and TA leadership.
The role will also partner closely with cross-functional and technology stakeholders including:
