Business Relationship Specialist Plant Maintainance Project System

Job Summary:The Business Relationship Specialist is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and productivity within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that operational workflows align with industry regulations and company objectives, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices to support continuous improvement. This role ensures the smooth operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of SAP systems to align with business needs. Key responsibilities include resolving user issues, identifying system enhancements, conducting testing, and documenting processes, often requiring deep expertise in specific modules like PM & PS with working knowledge of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
System Troubleshooting & SupportProvide functional/technical support for SAP applications, diagnosing issues and minimizing operational disruption.Perform root cause analysis and recommend long‑term fixes for recurring issues.Process OptimizationAnalyze, map, and re-engineer business processes to align with SAP best practices and improve efficiency.Conduct gap analyses, workflow mapping, and data analysisContinuous ImprovementImplement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize operations.Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to assess process effectiveness.Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives.Stakeholder CollaborationWork with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain) to align processes with business goals.Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.Testing & Quality AssuranceExecute unit, integration, and regression testing for system changes, updates, or upgrades.Support user acceptance testing (UAT) through test case creation, coordination, and validation.
Documentation & TrainingCreate and maintain documentation (blueprints, user manuals) and conduct end-user training to ensure proper system adoptionProvide training and support for new processes and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related field.3–5 years of experience in process improvement or business analysis within manufacturing or chemical industry.Strong knowledge of process mapping tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and compliance standards.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.Preferred Skills:SAP Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., PM, PS). Certification a plusSAP Expertise: Working knowledge of FinanceExperience in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) a plus.
