Business System Practitioner - Lean Mfg / CI

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Business Systems Practitioner to develop, implement and execute Global Supply Chain (GSC) Lean Academy programs. Anchored on a learn-do approach, the Lean Academy develops Business System talent in GSC. The role develops training content, teaches Business System tools and supports practitioner development pathways across the organization. It also supports manufacturing operations at Gemba, facilitates improvement activities and contributes to cultural change for a lean transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and mentor employees at all levels using hands-on learning approaches that go beyond the classroom.
• Facilitate and support Lean learning pathways to develop capability and capacity within Global Supply Chain, including Manufacturing, Procurement and Quality.
• Assist with planning, execution and sustainment of leader lean immersion programs, bootcamps, benchmark trips, seminars, conferences and other best practice peer learning activities.
• Train production associates, including onboarding, in Business System fundamentals.
• Provide Gemba support on the shop floor in problem solving, visual daily management and standard work, and provide ongoing coaching for associates.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping, drive problem solving, and support moonshine prototyping to help implement improvements effectively and sustainably.
