We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our team in Toluca. This position will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing aftersales parts and accessories, negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers, and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of products to support Nissan operations and dealer networks across North America and Latin America.The Buyer will collaborate closely with suppliers, manufacturing plants, dealer networks, logistics teams, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives while supporting cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
A Day in the Life:Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements for assigned commodities and production-related parts.Develop and maintain supplier relationships that support current and future business requirements.Evaluate supplier capabilities regarding quality, cost, delivery, and overall performance.Conduct supplier benchmarking and comparative analysis to identify the most competitive sourcing options.Create and manage purchasing contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted parts supply.Resolve supply chain and procurement issues impacting production or aftersales operations.Lead and support cost reduction initiatives aligned with business objectives.Coordinate activities related to service parts, accessories, remanufactured parts, and value products.Support procurement activities for facility, MRO, and non-production purchases as required.Analyze manufacturing processes and supplier cost structures to identify improvement opportunities.Collaborate with regional and global teams to support purchasing and sourcing strategies.
Who We're Looking For:Required:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business, or a related discipline.One or more years of professional experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Project Management.Knowledge of commodity management, supplier development, and market analysis.Understanding of commercial and legal regulations related to purchasing activities.Experience with supplier negotiations and contract management.Strong analytical skills, including cost analysis and manufacturing process understanding.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.Fluency in English and Spanish (minimum TOEIC score of 600).
Desired:Knowledge of drawing interpretation and engineering specifications.Understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, plastic injection, and automotive component production.Experience with cost estimation methodologies.Experience conducting supplier benchmarking activities.Familiarity with CAD/CAE software and engineering-related tools.Previous experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.Knowledge of Nissan purchasing processes and supplier management practices.
