About the role

At Cargill, the Buyer II supports sourcing activities across multiple countries or businesses. The role executes complex procurement tasks and provides inputs to the global category team.

Responsibilities

• Execute medium and highly complex sourcing events.
• Drive implementation of regional sourcing decisions and support implementation of global sourcing decisions.
• Provide inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the regional stakeholder and procurement landscape.
• Monitor regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Follow established procedures to select suppliers for noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
• Solve moderately complex issues independently with minimal supervision and escalate more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Intermediate-Advanced English proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP systems.
• Proficiency in Excel tools.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.
