Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Clinical Research Assistant/Medical Assistant to support the daily operations of clinical research studies. This role is ideal for someone with direct patient care experience who is interested in growing within the clinical research field while providing excellent support to participants and the research team.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and organization of study documents and materials.Schedule and coordinate participant appointments and follow-up visits.Support participant recruitment and prescreening activities.Provide professional support to study participants throughout study visits.Perform protocol-related procedures such as vital signs, ECGs, specimen collection, and other delegated tasks.Process and prepare laboratory specimens according to established procedures.Enter and maintain study data in electronic systems with accuracy.Assist with maintaining participant records and study documentation.Support research coordinators with administrative tasks and monitor visits.Ensure clinical areas and supplies are organized and ready for participant visits.Follow study protocols, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a health-related field, completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, CNA, or similar healthcare program, or equivalent healthcare/research experience.Experience providing direct patient care.Phlebotomy experience is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Comfortable using electronic medical records and other computer-based systems.Bilingual (English and Spanish).
