Job Title: Sr Clinical Specialist Consultant, Surgical Structural Heart (Chile), Medical Device
Expected CommitmentThis will be a 12-month contract with possibility of converting to full-time. The role will require regular presence in hospitals and procedural settings, with travel as needed to support key accounts and training initiatives.
Client OverviewPeritia, a Career Portfolio Management company servicing the drug, device, and biologic development community, is supporting a MedTech client on their expansion of their Surgical Structural Heart portfolio in Indonesia.
Client Business DriverOur client is a global leader in structural heart innovation, focused on expanding procedural adoption, strengthening physician partnerships, and driving clinical excellence across emerging markets. This role will play a critical part in advancing procedural success, supporting education initiatives, and enabling sustainable growth across Indonesia.
The WorkThe Sr. Clinical Specialist will serve as a key clinical and technical partner to physicians, hospitals, and distributor teams. This individual will lead procedural support, clinician education, and market development initiatives to drive adoption and optimize patient outcomes within surgical structural heart programs.
Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain strong clinical and business relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and distributor partnersDeliver high-quality product education, clinical training, and in-service support across accountsProvide real-time procedural support, including device handling, implantation guidance, and troubleshooting in the ORPartner with distributor sales teams to drive business growth through clinical expertise and market intelligenceDevelop and execute account-specific education and training strategies aligned with commercial objectivesCollaborate with proctors and internal teams to support physician and staff training programsSupport product evaluations, trials, and implementations within hospital systemsContribute to tender processes, including technical presentations, product specifications, and stakeholder engagementMaintain strong knowledge of device performance, competitive landscape, and clinical data to support adoption
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a scientific or clinical discipline (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in medical device clinical supportStrong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathologyHands-on experience supporting complex surgical or interventional proceduresProven ability to educate clinicians and influence adoption through clinical expertiseStrong communication, presentation, and relationship management skillsExperience working with distributors and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environmentKnowledge of regulatory requirements, adverse event reporting, and device accountabilityAbility to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility clinical environmentFluency in English
Preferred Skills: Experience in structural heart, valve therapies, or surgical cardiovascular proceduresExposure to emerging markets or distributor-led commercial modelsPrior involvement in product launches or market development initiatives
