Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer with a strong background in both public cloud (primarily AWS) and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid cloud solutions that ensure seamless integration with existing legacy applications.This is a strategic, hands-on role that involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Development, SRE, and Platform Engineering to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and application delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesHybrid Cloud Architecture & ManagementDesign and maintain scalable cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.Architect hybrid environments integrating on-premises systems with public cloud platforms.On-Premises DevOps & KubernetesImplement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices within on-premises environments.Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or via EKS/AKS) to support containerized workloads.Legacy Application ModernizationCollaborate with development teams to migrate or modernize legacy applications into cloud-native or containerized architectures.Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Develop and manage reusable IaC templates using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.Security & ComplianceEnforce security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation across all environments.Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain regulatory compliance.Site Reliability & Platform EngineeringApply SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, and observability of systems.Contribute to platform engineering efforts to enable self-service infrastructure for internal teams.Continuous Improvement & CollaborationStay informed on emerging technologies and suggest improvements for processes, tooling, and architecture.Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operation of applications.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).Experience:3–7 years in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role.Proven experience with AWS (primary), with exposure to Azure or GCP.Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or on-premises), Docker, and container orchestration.Hands-on expertise with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (Git).Familiarity with modernizing legacy systems and cloud migration strategies.Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and Linux/Windows system administration.Methodologies:Experience with DevOps culture, SRE principles, and modern platform engineering practices.Ability to design solutions with high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery in mind.Soft Skills:Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred QualificationsCertifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)Certifications in Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes are a plus.Additional Experience:Multi-cloud environments or advanced services (e.g., ECS, Lambda, AKS).Security frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust), compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2).Familiarity with blue-green deployments, canary releases, or automated testing strategies.
