Cloud Engineer

AWS & Platform EngineerLocation: Remote (Mexico)Duration: Long-term ContractRate: $20 USD/hour
We are seeking an experienced AWS & Platform Engineer to support a large-scale cloud transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, container platforms, microservices, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy and manage containerized applications using Amazon EKS, ECS, and/or OpenShift.Support cloud migration and modernization of microservices-based applications.Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent platforms.Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.Troubleshoot platform and application issues while driving continuous improvements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
Required SkillsHands-on experience with AWS, EKS/ECS, and OpenShift.Strong understanding of microservices architecture.Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI/CD tools.Knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and security services.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to HaveExperience with AWS cost optimization and cost modeling.Exposure to AWS Kiro.Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migration projects.
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
