Cloud Network Engineer

About the role

Sutherland is seeking an attentive, goal-oriented person to provide technical assistance to the NICE Cloud Networking Team. The role involves coordinating and participating in the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of NICE’s customer cloud-hosted network and security infrastructure, resolving customer issues requiring direct access to that infrastructure, and working in an appropriate professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain customer cloud-hosted network and security infrastructure.
• Resolve customer issues requiring direct access to network and security infrastructure.
• Administer network and security systems using industry-standard equipment and software.
• Operate and maintain network devices and security products, including Palo Alto, Cisco, F5, and other industry-leading hardware and software.
• Deploy and support IP networks and associated technologies.
• Establish, configure, and troubleshoot VPN tunnels and URL-related issues.
• Design and test infrastructure and support systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and WAN.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with AWS Cloud and managing AWS network stacks.
• At least 3 years of experience with Palo Alto.
• AWS and Palo Alto certification.
• Deep understanding of the IPSEC protocol, TCP/IP stack, layer 7 firewall packet processing, and SSL protocol.
• Familiarity with Internet and WAN communications technologies, protocols, and best practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a global, diverse, multicultural environment.
• Ability to work in a data center or on-premise environment and stand for extended periods while performing maintenance duties; the position may also require extended periods at a computer terminal and desk.
• Ability to write Terraform scripts and good knowledge of GIT are a plus.
