Technical Source is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for a long-term, onsite contract assignment in Carolina, Puerto Rico supporting a large-scale pharmaceutical capital expansion project. The PM will manage a project team and field activities on a $100M+ scope, coordinating internal engineers alongside outside contractors and subcontractors to keep schedule, budget, quality, and safety on track. ***This person must be open to relocating to Carolina, PR for the duration of the assignment, and will have some flexibility on returning home often.***
Key ResponsibilitiesManage construction execution and field activities for a $100M+ scope of work, from mobilization through closeout.Lead a project team of approximately 10 engineers, plus contractors and subcontractors from outside vendors.Hold contractors and trade partners to contractual scope, schedule milestones, and quality standards.Develop, maintain, and report against detailed project schedules; identify critical-path risks and drive recovery plans.Manage budget, commitments, cost-to-complete forecasting, pay applications, and change orders.Coordinate field activities and resolve constructability and interface conflicts across disciplines.Champion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure contractor compliance with site EHS requirements.Manage RFIs, submittals, and field changes; maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.Drive organized project closeout including punch list, as-builts, and turnover packages.
Required ExperiencePharmaceutical capital project experience required (any pharma project — no specific dosage-form experience needed).Experience managing or leading construction on large capital projects, ideally north of $100M.Proven ability to manage a project engineering team plus multiple outside contractors and subcontractors.Strong construction field-activity management; GC-side or owner's-side experience both welcome.Command of construction scheduling, budgeting/cost control, and change management.Working knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA) and strong EHS enforcement.Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, P6, MS Project, Bluebeam).Able to be onsite full-time in Carolina, PR for the duration of the engagement (12+ months).Available to start by end of July.
