The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Juan, responsible for leading construction projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, supervising site activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. This role oversees budgeting, cost tracking, and procurement, monitors progress against milestones, and prepares regular status reports for stakeholders. The Construction Project Manager collaborates closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain project quality, timelines, and budget. The position also involves identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the job site.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management to oversee end-to-end delivery of projects.Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Project Coordination skills to manage schedules, resources, and communications across stakeholders.Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to handle cost estimates, financial tracking, and adherence to project budgets.Relevant experience in commercial or infrastructure construction, including on-site supervision and contractor management.Knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards applicable to Puerto Rico and U.S. projects.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Proficiency with project management and construction software tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms).Ability to work on-site in San Juan, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
